    Ted Powell has yet to visit West Africa, but he has been drumming West African rhythms for close to 20 years. Powell belongs to the Drum Runners group in Truro, along with 15 other active members.

    Have I mentioned how jam-packed crazy this past weekend has been? Friday I accompanied Glynda to Prosperity where we closed on the sale of the second home in my parents' estate, then celebrated with dinner downtown. Saturday I spend the day exploring York County with Alan, and early Sunday morning I attended SC Comicon with Chip and his family.

    Ailey Extension's annual World Dance Performance Workshops kick off the week of April 9th, bringing together all communities to celebrate and share rich heritages from around the world.     While I've been able to find several venues where I can play my banjo, finding a venue for the new drum has been a bit more problematic. We weren't able to find a drum circle while we were down in Florida, so I looked for options in Greenville.
