What To Expect

These sessions are relaxed and beginner-friendlyIf you’ve never played before, you’ll pick it up quickly.

If you’ve played a bit, it’s a chance to improve your timing and feel more confident in a group. No pressure, no performances, just playing together and getting into a rhythm.

Bring your own drum, or hire one for £5 (limited, booking recommended)

About the Teacher

With over 20 years' experience teaching and performing African drumming, Al Paton has led workshops and performances in 18 countries and at over 1,000 events.

Today he runs Afrodrumming, sharing the joy of rhythm through classes, courses and drum circles.
